Welcome to Filston Farm, where the Dinnis family has managed this land for over a century, making it our home nestled in the beautiful Darent Valley.
Now into our fourth generation, we are proud to carry forward a rich farming legacy, while actively embracing the future.
Characterised by chalky higher land, loamy lower areas, and the meandering River Darent and its wetter grounds.
We're excited to be transitioning our farming practices towards regenerative principles. This includes the use of cover crops to protect and enrich our soil. We are looking forward to introducing companion cropping next year for natural pest management and improve nutrient cycling.
We also integrate our pedigree Sussex cattle across our arable fields, aimed at boosting soil health and biodiversity as we cultivate a wide range of crops including wheat, barley, oats, oilseed rape, and beans.
This practice provides human health, environmental and animal welfare benefits. This method focuses on increasing the species diversity of our grassland which results in the meat that is richer in nutrients like omega-3.
